| These are a couple of the reference books I used to research the topic of trade beads. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| "The History of Beads from 30,000 BC to the Present" By Lois Sherr Dubin Published by Thames and Hudson |

| A wonderful book on the history of beads. Illustrated with lots of pictures, but also with a very informative text. Organised primarily according to geographical areas, but with sub sections for important beads or locations. At the back of the book a fold out time line shows what beads were being produced in various areas at various times through history. |
